Very attractive, intense garnet red robe with a purplish crison meniscus. Powerful vinous bouquet with hints of black fruits, licorice and white peppercorn. After a fres, mild attack, the palate becomes dense and generous with tannins that are already nicely mellow - a sign of meticulous aging. A gorgeous, sexy wine.
"Tasted privately with a negotiant. A broody nose of blackberry, liquorish and cassis. Just lacking a little delineation for me. The palate is very fine: firm tannins, good acidity, excellent focus and good grip. Ripe black fruits, cherry and blueberry. Very good structure – this is an excellent Saint Emilion with good ageing potential. Tasted April 2007." - 91-93 points, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
"The man who makes Dassault aeroplanes, also owns this property. It's improving, as witnessed by this dense, dark wine, very solid, dark chocolate." - 89 points, Wine Enthusiast
"Shows berry and cherry aromas, with hints of rose. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a delicate finish. A little austere now, but will mellow with bottle age. Best after 2010. 6,250 cases made." - Wine Spectator
